About The Author
Author and speaker Tracy Hays was born in 1960 and spent his childhood in Amarillo, TX. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1978 and earned a degree in accounting from Baylor University in 1983. He spent nearly 30 years practicing as a CPA and financial advisor. Tracy married his wife, Elaine, in 1985 and they have four children, a son-in-law, a daughter-in- law and five grandchildren.
While cycling in 2014, Tracy was involved in a hit-and-run accident and suffered a traumatic brain injury. The ongoing aftereffects of the injury forced him to retire from a career he loved. No longer able to help clients achieve their financial goals, he chose instead to encourage others to overcome the adversities in their lives through speaking engagements and writing. From starting a new career in his mid-fifties to completing an Ironman triathlon after being retaught how to walk, Tracy’s life experiences would not have taken place if not for the powerful care God displayed for him. The grace extended to him is a testimony of God’s nature and of His ability to provide strength and direction for people to rise above the difficulties they face. Because tomorrow is not guaranteed to anyone, Tracy has dedicated his life to living for God and loving those around him.
Other books by Tracy include Dog Gone It and The Captain Is Courageous. When he’s not working on his next book, he enjoys staying active through backpacking, triathlons, boating and spending time with family. Tracy and Elaine are active members of Mercy Culture Church in Fort Worth, TX. You can also follow him on his Facebook author page: Tracy Hays – Author.
